National Theatre - Encore
Featuring a Tony Award-winning performance from host of the The Late Late Show, James Corden, the hilarious West End and Broadway hit One Man, Two Guvnors returns to cinemas to mark National Theatre Live’s 10th birthday.
Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe, a small time East End hood, now in Brighton to collect £6,000 from his fiancée’s dad. But Roscoe is really his sister Rachel posing as her own dead brother, who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers.
Holed up at The Cricketers’ Arms, the permanently ravenous Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a second job with one Stanley Stubbers, who is hiding from the police and waiting to be re-united with Rachel. To prevent discovery, Francis must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.
Trailblazer. Inspiration. Survivor. Suzi Q is the definitive, unexpurgated story of the girl from Detroit City who redefined the role and image of women in rock ‘n’ roll when she broke through around the world in 1973.
The trailblazer and inspiration for a generation of female rock musicians who followed her, Suzi Q reminds contemporary audiences of her pioneering influence, white-hot talent and string of incandescent pop-rock hits. Testimony is duly made by a string of rock luminaries, with focus on the women who followed the roadmap Suzi charted for them.
Exiled to Europe during her success yet now largely forgotten in her homeland, we return with Suzi to Detroit. Exploring the long simmering family tensions and sibling rivalries that result from the success of one family member, Suzi Q reveals the price paid for success in a deeply personal exploration of fame, ambition and resilience.
Still on the road after 50 years, Suzi Quatro surely is The Queen of Rock’n’Roll. Accept no substitutes.

EL INCREÍBLE FINDE MENGUANTE
To celebrate her 30th birthday, Alba and her friends rent a woodland cottage for the weekend, eager to clink glasses, let loose, and live it up to the maximum. However, the festivities turn sour when Pablo, Alba’s boyfriend, unexpectedly breaks up with her, claiming that he needs time. In a neat sci-fi trick, Alba is suddenly frozen in her own time-loop, transported back to the car journey and condemned to relive the separation over and over – but with one hour less each time. Can she avoid the inevitable and persuade Pablo of her love, before it’s too late? It’s a countdown – and time is running out.
Written and directed by Jon Mikel Caballero, The Incredible Shrinking Wknd is a dark, poignant reimagination of Groundhog Day – but for break-ups.
