NT: Jack Absolute Flies Again

National Theatre Live

It’s July 1940 and Pilot Officer Jack Absolute flies home from a raid on the Luftwaffe to RAF Fontwell. He’s surprised to find his old flame Lydia at the base, and sets his sights on winning back her heart. But Lydia demands to be loved on her own terms, and the riotous comedy of misunderstandings and preposterous confrontations begins.

A new play by Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors) and Oliver Chris, based on Sheridan’s 1775 Restoration masterpiece The Rivals.
